student oral histories project (SOHP)

Oral histories are recorded histories of ordinary people's lives. They give us access to critical thinking information of survival and resistance. Stories related to the African diaspora make one strand of women's stories. Stories of maroon women provide resistance experience. This weblog is a platform for students to publish and share their women stories as they learn history. The students interview, read, write, photograph, upload oral histories and record and produce structured essays.
